Attention SEL4CA Alliance Members!
SEL4CA is excited to announce we are Co-Hosting LAUSD’s annual SEL Conference taking place on May 27, 2020 at the Los Angeles Grand Hotel – 333 S Figueroa St, Los Angeles, CA.
As you might be aware, there have been many postponements and/or cancellations of events due to the coronavirus outbreack.
L.A. Unified School District is considering restricting all large gatherings to prevent the exposure or spread of the Coronavirus. While we have no definitive news, we wanted to share this update with you. We are still committed to this conference and continue to work with The L.A. Hotel on this event.
We will keep you informed as we learn more.
As an Alliance Member, you are invited to participate in a number of ways:
Attend as a participant
NOTE: As priority registration is allotted to LAUSD educators, open registration for Alliance Members will be limited to the first 30 members to register, so act quickly! Please note that, unless you are employed by LAUSD, you must register through SEL4CA and not through LAUSD.

Submit a workshop proposal to present at the conference
Submit your proposal by completing and submitting this form (see link below) by 5 PM on March 13th :
The Conference Theme is: Deepening our SEL Practice. The final question on the submission form, regarding Research Alignment, asks you to provide information that helps the audience to understand why SEL is effective and important in education. As you develop your description, please ensure that the content of your workshop will help teachers and/or administrators to understand how to implement SEL with fidelity. For example, you might describe how to integrate one of the SEL competencies into instruction. You might also consider proposing a workshop that demonstrates how you use specific SEL curricula to improve student outcomes.
We look forward to seeing you there!
