SEAL Application Form

Thank you for your interest in becoming a certified SEAL (SEL-Evaluation-Authorized-Lead). Below is some general guidance that will help you decide if becoming a certified SEAL at this time would be a good fit.

Before becoming certified you should:

• Have significant background knowledge of SEL.
• Have experience completing an SEL Implementation Rubric on a team or as a facilitator.
• Have experience creating an action plan at a site or district, based on the SEL Implementation Rubric or 10 Indicators of schoolwide SEL.

Expectations for Areas of Coverage:

• To help with the logistical challenges associated with a statewide initiative, we are asking that anyone interested in becoming a SEAL have the ability to travel at least a 50-mile radius to evaluate schools.
• You will not be allowed to evaluate your own school site (if you serve at the site level).
